SGLN Update May, 2023

We have lots of exciting news this month. Jane, our new facilitator has started work, we have engaged Yasmin Kelsall to take our Biodiversity Protection Plan to the next stage, and Phoebe, our communications guru, has welcomed her new baby!

We also have a field day coming up in 18 May to discuss the economic impacts of fencing off farm dams. If your dams are fully open to stock, I’d encourage you to come along. You might also like to check out this podcast featuring Dr David Lindenmayer from the Australian National University discussing the immense biodiversity benefits of removing or restricting stock access to farm dams. The direct link to the Savings our Species webpage with all Business of Biodiversity podcasts is here and you also access the episode via Apple and Spotify.

Don’t forget the Victorian Landcare Grants close on 16 May. Both Nick and Jane can help, if needed.
