EVENT DETAILS

South Gippsland Landcare Network is excited to have started work on the South Gippsland Biolinks Map. This is a key action of the Biodiversity Protection Plan.

When complete, the Biolinks Map will be an online tool to help understand how native species move through our region. It will draw on a range of land cover and biodiversity datasets, as well as stakeholder input, to model areas of core habitat in the landscape, and the pathways different species may use to move between them. This will give us a map showing the key locations and movement corridors across the region, their relative importance and where opportunities exist to improve or establish pathways.

This will help to inform where on-ground action will have the most impact, so we can focus our efforts in the most effective way.

Join us to meet James and Yasmin who are developing the map, learn about how the biolinks map will be created and what it will look like, and how you can get involved.
