SGLN AGM & Book Launch!

2025 marks 30 years of SGLN and to celebrate, we are holding our AGM at Fleet Wines and will launch the Our Quiet Achievers book.

All SGLN members are warmly invited to attend SGLN’s Annual General Meeting, with special guests LVI CEO Claire Hetzel and Member for East Melbourne and Group Secretary of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Landcare, Tom McIntosh.

The ordinary business of the meeting:

  • confirm the minutes of the 2024 AGM held on 15 October 2024
  • receive the 2024-25 Annual Report
  • receive and consider the financial statements submitted by the Board to members in accordance with s.100(1) of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012
  • set the annual subscription fee
  • elect up to five (5) ordinary Board members
  • elect the Executive Board members

Voting

Financial members of SGLN Landcare Groups are entitled to vote at the meeting in person or by proxy. Completed proxy forms must be received by the Secretary (secretary@board.sgln.net.au) no later than 5:00pm, Friday 24 October 2025.

Financial members may also nominate for Board positions. Nomination forms must be received by the Secretary no later than Monday 20 October 2025.

Two ticket options available: $35 each (includes finger food) OR $50 each (includes finger food and wine tasting)

Hard copies of Our Quiet Achievers publication will be available for purchase on the day for $20.

About the Guest Speakers

Claire Hetzel

With almost 20 years’ experience working in senior roles within a broad range of not-for-profit organisations, Claire has a passion for enabling community-driven initiatives. Her diverse skill set has been honed working across landscape restoration, urban forestry and urban agriculture, In December 2023, Claire was officially appointed as CEO of LVI.

Tom McIntosh

Before entering Parliament, Tom grew up the son of a shearer and teacher on the family farm. Since August 2022, Tom has represented Eastern Victoria in the Legislative Council and wrote the Foreword for the Our Quiet Achievers book publication.
