SGLN UPDATE – JULY 2026

· News

We know our Memorandum of Understanding with the South Gippsland Shire Council is kicking goals locally, but to have it recognised at a state level is extremely gratifying.

The MOU won the Environmental Sustainability category at the Parks and Leisure Australia Awards of Excellence (Victoria and Tasmania) last week.

It was the most heavily contested category with six other worthy initiatives also in the running. Now in its third year, the MOU’s primary goal is to build a productive relationship between SGLN and Council.

To see our organisations working hand in hand on so many projects across South Gippsland is a wonderful achievement for our environment and our community.

Kind regards,

Jillian Staton, Chair
