The number of attendees at our Biodiversity Forum reflects the value that South Gippslanders place on nature and the environment for farming, tourism, connection with community and general well-being. Thank you to our Mayor, Cr Nathan Hersey, who opened the Forum and the South Gippsland Shire Council which continues to support our efforts to protect the region’s biodiversity and support sustainable agriculture through our Memorandum of Understanding.
The importance we place on nature is also reflected in the number of Victorian Landcare Grant applications made by Network members. Good luck to everyone who took the time to scope a project: remember that even if you are not successful, there are other grant opportunities available. Speak to Jane or Morgan about alternative programs that may be able to bring your idea to fruition.
