Carbon Farming Workshops

Our recent Carbon Farming Workshops provided valuable training for local farmers, helping them understand their emissions as well as the ecological and economic benefits of carbon farming.
  •  In Workshop 1, we heard from local soil scientist Declan McDonald, who explained how improving soil health also increases soil carbon, and local farmer Nick Dudley (who has delivered carbon projects for Agriculture Victoria) on carbon emissions on farms.
  • In Workshop 2, Nick Dudley (with support from Dr Pragna Prathap from Ag Vic) guided participants in using digital carbon accounting tools. Farmers entered their own figures to calculate their emissions, putting them in an informed position for future planning.
Miss the workshop, but want to try carbon calculation for your farm?
