SGLN UPDATE – AUGUST 2025

Imitation is the best form of flattery, so seeing Pedal and Plant events being advertised in other regions is a clear sign we’re doing well!

Nothing beats the original, of course! Well done to the Arawata Landcare Group and a big shout out to the South Gippsland Shire Council, Leongatha Rotary Club, Leongatha Lions Club, Korumburra Landcare Group Nursery, the South Gippsland Seed Bank and the 80 volunteers who planted 1500 seedlings along the Great Southern Rail Trail at Ruby last week.
Thank you to everyone who has held or participated in a planting event over the past month. Whether you’re planting to create shelter for stock, habitat for wildlife or just because you love getting out in nature, congratulations. Every indigenous tree we get in the ground makes a difference.

Kind regards,
Regards,
Jillian Staton, SGLN Chair
