Whole Farm Planning

This FREE whole farm planning course is perfect for those new to farming or anyone wanting to elevate their knowledge in climate smart farming and how to improve their natural capital for a more sustainable future.

This 7 session course will be made up of 7 in-person workshops run weekly starting Thursday October 15th. There will be 5 farm visits to see how experienced local farmers are managing their natural assets. The Victorian Farmers Federation will deliver a sixth practical session, and the course will finish with a session completing participants’s whole farm plans. Experienced Landcare facilitator and sustainable agriculture consultant Peter Ronalds from Inspired AG Solutions will be at each workshop and will guide people to complete their whole farm plan.
In addition participants who would like to use digital mapping may attend a pre-course Google Earth mapping workshop held on Wednesday 7th October – book here
Participants will also receive: 
– A poster-side laminated aerial photograph of their property, which they will use as a base to develop their whole farm plan.
– A copy of the book ‘Stock and Waterways’
– A copy of Natural Asset Farming
– Morning tea and lunch at each session
Participating in this program will set you up for success by giving you the knowledge and tools to manage the natural assets on your farm in a changing climate. You’ll also meet other farmers who are in a similar stage to you.

What: Climate Smart Whole Farm Planning Course over 7 weeks, with 7 in-person sessions, between approx. 10am-3pm

When: Weekly on Thursdays. Start Oct 15th – Finish Nov 25th

Where: South Gippsland, various locations

Please note places are limited and submission of an EOI does not guarantee participation. EOI’s will be assessed and participants selected by the organisers whose decision will be final.
