You may be interested in collecting seed for personal use or to supply to the seed bank. \nThe session will include: \n\nwhy collect seeds?\npermits required for collecting on public land\ncollection techniques\nseed extraction and storage.\n\nWe’ll have a hands on session to try out  sifting\, cleaning\, drying\, treating and preparing your seed \nWe’ll finish with visit a local property to practice collection techniques and plant identification. DESCRIPTION:Enhancing farm dams for stock and biodiversity: Develop a plan for your farm dam \nJoin wetland ecologist David Carew to learn about enhancing your own farm dam to increase biodiversity and farm productivity. \nAt this workshop you will get started on a management plan to improve a dam on your farm. Topics covered will include fencing\, plant species selection and monitoring. \nLouise Kerferd (Melbourne Water) will share a case study on a previous dam enhancement project\, and the day will wrap up with a farm walk to hear from the farmer and view the results and changes. \nLunch and refreshments included \nThe Project\, which is funded by Food & Fibre Gippsland through the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub. This the second round of this project.
