Each SGLN Landcare Group will receive two copies free of charge. \nSpecial business \n\namend SGLN’s Statement of Purpose and Rules by adopting the motion: That the draft Statement of Purpose and Rules of South Gippsland Landcare Network dated 6 August 2024 be adopted with effect from 15 October 2024.\n\nOrdinary business \n\nconfirm the minutes of the 2023 Annual General Meeting (held 11 October 2023)\nreceive the 2023-24 Annual Report\nreceive and consider the financial statements submitted by the Board to members in accordance with s.100(1) of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012\nset SGLN’s annual subscription fee\nappoint Cardell Accountants as auditor\nelect up to five (5) ordinary Board members\nelect the Executive Board members.\n\nBoard nominations\nFinancial members of SGLN or SGLN Landcare Groups may nominate for Board positions.  Completed nomination forms must be received by the Secretary (secretary@board.sgln.net.au) no later than 5pm\, Monday 14 October 2024. \nVoting\nFinancial members of SGLN or SGLN Landcare Groups are entitled to vote at the meeting in person or by proxy. SUMMARY:Fire Wise Shelterbelts and Gardens
DESCRIPTION:We have decided to combine our Fire Wise Shelterbelt and Garden workshops into a single event at Loch. The Meeniyan garden event will not be going ahead. \nLocal ecologist Kate Bennets (Fire\, Flood & Flora) will discuss how certain indigenous plant species can use used in shelterbelts to help reduce fire risk on farms. Afterwards we’ll visit the Fire Wise shelterbelt demonstration site that has recently been planted at Loch. \nMitch Emmett (CFA vegetation management officer) and Hayley King (CFA engagement coordinator) will share information and resources on ember attack and landscaping for bushfire. \nAfterwards we’ll visit the Fire Wise shelterbelt & garden demonstration sites that have recently been planted at Loch. \nThursday 24 October\, 9.30am-12.30.
