SUMMARY:Pedal & Plant - National Tree Day
DESCRIPTION:Our ‘Pedal and Plant’ returns in 2024 – promoting mental health by encouraging people to get outdoors and enjoy the Great Southern Rail Trail. This years event will be in Kardella\, just 5km outside of Korumburra\, where we’ll be planting 2000 trees. Participants are encouraged to park at Ruby or Korumburra and ride their bikes to the site. Alternatively\, limited car parking is available near the Kardella site.  Riding or walking along the rail trail from Ruby (5km)\, Korumburra (5km) or Leongatha (10km) is highly recommended!  The tree planting will be followed by a BBQ lunch. \nPlease register for this event and see further details at: https://treeday.planetark.org/site/10029503 \nThis is event is a partnership between South Gippsland Landcare Network\, Arawata Landcare Group and South Gippsland Shire Council.
