DESCRIPTION:Its weed control time!\nBlackberry is one of the top weeds worrying people in South Gippsland. \nIf you have blackberry on your property and you want expert advice on the best ways to manage it please come along to this free event. \nOur key speaker Dr Robin Air from the Victorian Blackberry Taskforce has 30 plus years experience in research and control of invasive weeds. He has extensive knowledge in the use of pesticides and fire as a management tool. While this event has a blackberry focus Robin’s vast experience means he can offer advice on how to manage almost any weed so please bring along your weed and your weed questions.\nWeather permitting we will also have a drone demonstration. \nKatie Robinson from Agriculture Victoria will speak about weed classifications\, the role Ag Vic has in biosecurity and the enforcement of weed control legislation. \nLunch and refreshments provided.
