In South Gippsland foxes are a CALP listed species which means land owners are legally required to undertake control.\u00a0 Between 2020 and 2021, it was estimated that foxes cost Australia approximately $198 million in lost production. They are also believed to be the primary cause of a decline in numerous Australian small mammal species.<\/p>\n
